President of the Free Destourian Party (PDL) Abir Moussi has been summoned to appear before the investigating judge at the Tunis Court of First Instance on February 13, in a new case brought by the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE). In a press release issued on Friday, the PDL underlined that the new case is about statements made by Moussi at a press conference during which "she expressed her party's position regarding the latest legislative elections (December 17, 2022)." The party condemned the "ongoing prosecution of Moussi for her political positions," urging relevant authorities "to stop these abuses and release her immediately."
