The African Development Bank (AfDB) forecasts an average economic growth of 2.3% for Tunisia during the period 2023/2024, according to the 2023 African Economic Outlook (AEO) report presented in Sharm el-Sheikh on Wednesday.
The AfDB also forecasts an average inflation rate of 8.8% over the same period (2023/2024), compared to 8.3% forecast by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) for 2023.
The current account deficit is expected to reach 5.9%, according to the AfDB.
Tunisia’s economic growth reached 2.4% in 2022, according to the INS.
