African Beach Games 2023-Hammamet: Tunisia-made accreditation platform officially launched

The Organising Committee of the next African Beach Games (COJAP) announced on Saturday the official launch of the accreditation process for the delegations taking part in the Hammamet 2023 edition (23-30 June) via a special platform set up in coordination with the African National Olympic Committees.

A source close to the COJAP expressed pride in this platform, created in record time by young Tunisian talents and the possibilities it offers in terms of storage capacity and management of accreditation requests reserved for guests of the Games (athletes, artists, journalists).

“This is an unprecedented operation for young talents, students of a private university institution, who have managed to create an online platform that meets international standards in terms of accreditation for a multidisciplinary sports event in Tunisia,” the source said.

He explained that this success will pave the way for a promising future market for Tunisian skills at the African level in the organisation of major continental, regional and international sports competitions, as well as the implementation of similar applications within and outside the continent.

COJAP also announced the launch of the accreditation process for journalists through the National Olympic Committees of African member countries.

News agencies, print and electronic media representatives and photographers are invited to contact the NOCs of their respective countries as soon as possible to register.

Tunisian journalists and European media representatives are invited to coordinate with the CNOT and register via the link //jap2023cnot.org.tn.

COJAP has also announced the inclusion of the 10km Beach Marathon in the Games’ programme, following consultation between the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), the Confederation of African Athletics and COJAP 2023.

More than 900 athletes representing 48 African National Olympic Committees will take part in the Hammamet 2023 African Beach Games.
