US Monastir won the Tunisian basketball championship (2022-2023 season) for the eighth time and fifth time in a row after beating Club Africain 3-1 in the final 4 (Game 4) of the Super Play-off of the ProA championship, 76-79 on Friday at the Rades sports hall.

In the first two games, played in Monastir, US Monastir won by scores of 92-89 and 78-72, while the third round was taken by Club Africain (72-68).

It was the 8th title for US Monastir, who have already won the 1998, 2000, 2005, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 editions. Club Africain’s record stands at three titles, won in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

The two teams will meet again on June 4 in the Tunisian Cup final.
