Body of woman taken by Wadi Ksiba found

The body of woman, who has been missing since Thursday, May 11, was found about 9:00 a.m. on Sunday in the “Fej Terbeh” region of the Jedeliane delegation (Kasserine governorate), Local Civil Protection Director of Kasserine Youssef El Afi said on Sunday.

The body was reportedly washed away by rainwater from Wadi Ksiba to Oued Ajaijia, Rouhia delegation, governorate of Siliana, 16 km from where she fell, he told TAP, adding that the body will be handed over to the National Guard in the presence of the Public Prosecutor. It will be then taken to the Local Hospital of Kasserine for autopsy. Finally, the body will given to the family for burial.

61-year-old Salha Nsibi was carried away by Wadi Ksiba, which crosses three governorates, (Kef, Siliana and Kasserine). The woman, who was watching her 4 cows and trying to get them cross the Wadi, was carried away by the rainwater, Jedeliane delegate said.

Civil protection teams from Kasserine and Siliana as well as a diving team from the regional civil protection directorate in Gafsa were mobilised to search for the woman.
