Deputy Minister Najbulo Nzuza opens Paulpietersburg Home Affairs Office and interacts with community members, 6 Jul

Home Affairs Deputy Minister Njabulo Nzuza will on Wednesday, 06 July 2022 officially open the eDumbe (Paulpietersburg) Home Affairs office and participate in a Youth Imbizo in eMondlo in KwaZulu-Natal.

The opening of the Paulpietersburg Home Affairs office demonstrates the Department’s commitment to intensify its programme of expanding its footprint by bringing services closer to the people.

According to Deputy Minister Nzuza, bringing services closer to the people will ensure that members of the community have access to enabling documents such as birth and death certificates, identity documents as well as passports through this modernised office.

“This is part of our strategy to accelerate the modernisation of offices across the country, including small towns and rural areas to improve the quality of services we bring to our people,” said the Deputy Minister.

Government strives to ensure that communities have easy access to basic services. This will enable them to participate fully in the socio-economic activities that are on offer. In particular, young people will be able to apply for Smart ID Cards which are free of charge for first time applicants.
