Deputy Minister Pamela Tshwete meets with stakeholders at Makana Local Municipality, 24 Jul

Deputy Minister returns to Makana to address service delivery issues

The Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, Ms Pamela Tshwete will return to Makana Local Municipality to meet various stakeholders including communities on Tuesday, 24 July 2018 to assess progress in the provision of water and sanitation services in the area.

She will first have an engagement with business people in the area, meet with academics at Rhodes University before interacting with community members to hear their concerns.

Last month, Deputy Minister Tshwete met with political leadership and officials from Makana Local Municipality and Eastern Cape Provincial Government where various issues were discussed. At the conclusion of the meeting, Deputy Minister Tshwete made a commitment to return and meet other stakeholders to address service delivery challenges.
