EC SAPS family pays last respect to one of their own in Mount Fletcher

MOUNT FLETCHER – The SAPS Family in the Eastern Cape converged at Maqhatseng Locality in Mount Fletcher, Joe Gqabi District as they paid last respect to the late Constable Phumla Mabindisa who was stationed at Cedarville SAPS under Alfred Nzo District.

The late member joined the South African Police Service as a reservist in 2004 and was permanently employed in 2011. After completing basic training, she served at Cedarville SAPS until the day of her departure.

The Mabindisa family characterized the late 47-year-old heroin as a disciplined, responsible and caring member who was always prepared to take an extra mile in taking care of her family.

Cedarville Station Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mbulelo Sigcau applauded diligence, discipline and dedication that Constable Mabindisa displayed in execution of her official duties irrespectively. He further described the loss of one member as a blow to the organisation, as it negatively affects service delivery.

Brigadier Nompumelelo Majikijela, who represented the SAPS Provincial Senior Management, extended a word of gratitude to Mabindisa Family for allowing the late foot soldier to join the South African Police Service. As she closed the file of Constable Phumla Mabindisa, Brigadier Majikijela encouraged junior members to carry on fighting criminality in their respective environments.
