JCC 2023: Lamia Guiga and Mohamed Challouf in organising committee, Férid Boughdir honorary president

The Ministry of Culture has appointed a new organising committee, comprising five members of the film industry, to oversee the exceptional edition of the Carthage Film Festival (JCC), scheduled from October 28 to November 4, 2023.

Prominent filmmaker Férid Boughdir has been appointed honorary president of this 2023 edition of the JCC, according to a press release from the Ministry released Saturday.

Lamia Guiga, who will be art director, will be in charge of the official competition, while Mohamed Chalouf will be in charge of the “Centenary of Tunisian Cinema” event.

The other three members are Mohamed Dammak, general coordinator, Imen Abdelli, secretary general, and Imed Dabbour, in charge of external relations.

The National Centre for Cinema and Image (CNCI) announced early May that the JCC would be held “in an exceptional edition” from October 28 to November 4, 2023. This date was chosen in consultation with the Ministry of Culture and the Joint advisory committee, which brings together the Ministry, the CNCI and film professionals.
