July 25 Movement called Tuesday for an urgent cabinet reshuffle. Tunisia, it said, is “waging a war against forces pulling it backwards” and there is need to pool efforts to chart a way out of the crisis.
President of the political bureau Houssem Ben Ahmed told a press conference it is imperative to reshuffle the cabinet as soon as possible and criticised the performance of some ministries which have direct contact with citizens.
Deputy SG Issam Ben Othman said Tunisia is going through a difficult period that calls for new visions and proposals to steer it out of the crisis.
The country is at war with those seeking to give rise to crises, he added, welcoming the decision to set up committees to check the authenticity of degrees and appointments within the Tunisian administration.
Member of the Political Bureau Aymen Ouergui shed light on the forthcoming political events in which the movement will participate, mainly the election of members of the Council of Regions and Districts.
July 25 Movement is resolute in its determination to support the election of the higher council of education and the higher council of investment. It also endorses the candidacy of President Kais Saied in the presidential elections to forge ahead with the process of “reform and construction.”
Harak members urged the executive to shoulder its responsibilities as regards a number of issues, such as the food security of Tunisians, subsidised products and community companies.
