The project to build a class B regional hospital in Sbeïtla, Kasserine governorate, has reached almost 95% completion, with work scheduled to start in early 2024.
The construction of the hospital, whose total value is estimated at more than 50 million dinars, has been repeatedly delayed, with the completion date set for 2012 and the start of work for 2016.
The reasons for this delay are mainly financial, which has led to several interruptions in the work, in addition to the obstacles caused by the “coronavirus” pandemic and the contractor’s failure to comply with the clauses of the contract signed with the supervising authority.
A 6-hectare plot of land at the entrance to the town of Sbeïtla was allocated to this new medical facility.
