Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma launches Youth Month

The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) invites members of the media to the official launch of Youth Month at the Hector Pieterson Memorial Museum in Soweto, Johannesburg.

In line with government’s programme to celebrate the centenary year of Tata Nelson Mandela and Mama Albertina Sisulu, Youth Month 2018 will be commemorated under the theme Live the Legacy: Towards A Socio-Economically Empowered Youth.

The event will be attended by Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Chairperson of the National Planning Commission (NPC) Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma who will deliver the keynote address.

During the launch, a month-long programme of activities aimed at addressing youth unemployment will be unveiled. At the centre of celebrations will be preserving the legacy of our struggle heroes and heroines and showcasing beneficiaries of the NYDA.
