Minister Siyabonga Cwele holds Imbizo at Jane Furse, 11 Jul

The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services, Dr Siyabonga Cwele will lead the department’s Imbizo in Jane Furse, Limpopo on Wednesday, 11 July 2018.

The department has partnered with the Sekhukhune District Municipality and the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality to bring opportunities for 150 young people to be trained in digital skills by State-Owned training institute NEMISA and Google.

The Minister is expected to use the visit to the district to update the councillors and traditional leaders on the progress in the payment of social grants. He is also expected to visit a post office to monitor the payments of social grants. Minister Cwele is scheduled to launch a free public Wi Fi project which is being rolled by Sentech, IntelSat and other partners as part of the Internet For All programme.
