More boots on the ground leads to arrest and seizure of 10 carcasses of stolen stock

VIRGINIA – Members followed information of stock theft in progress at a farm in Virginia on the 06 January 2023 at about 20:00.

A bakkie with a canopy was spotted travelling from the farm taking the direction towards Linabo Bridge.

The bakkie was followed until Aldam/Virginia /Winburg crossing where it was stopped and seven (7) suspects jumped out of the bakkie running in different directions in the bushes. A 43-year-old driver was arrested with eight (8) slaughtered goats carcasses and two (2) carcasses of sheep. He could not provide the SAPS members with necessary documents to be in possession of the stock.
