Nabeul: Tourist indicators on rise

Since the beginning of the year and until the end of April 2023, the number of visitors in the governorate of Nabeul has reached nearly 135 thousand tourists, i.e. a 40% rise compared to the same period last year.

The region has also recorded an increase of about 60% in terms of overnight stays, which reached nearly 350 thousand nights, “which announces a good tourist season”, Regional Commissioner for Tourism in Nabeul, Wahid Ben Fraj, told the media on Monday.

For his part, Regional Commissioner for Tourism in Hammamet, Khaled Kalouia indicated that the number of arrivals at the seaside resort Yasmine Hammamet, in April 2023, grew by 165%, that is to say, about 38 thousand tourists, while the number of overnight stays during the same month, jumped by 118% to reach 121 thousand overnight stays.

He explained that the tourist resort of Yasmine Hammamet has known, since the beginning of the year until the end of April, the arrival of more than 141 thousand visitors, that is to say, a growth rate of 20.4%, and the rise of 51% of the number of overnight stays, that stands at more than 397 thousand overnight stays.
