The net foreign exchange reserves exceeded TND 26.7billion on September 29, i.e. 118 days of import against TND23.6 billion (111 days of import) during the same period last year, the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT)’s monetary and financial indicators show. The exchange rate of the Tunisian dinar against the US dollar also saw an improvement with $1=TND3.182 on September 28, compared with TND3.332 in 2022, the BCT added. Likewise, the dinar’s exchange rate has gained strength against the Japanese Yen, as the value of ¥1,000 in dinars has fallen from TND22.786 at the end of September 2022 to TND21.290 dinars currently. However, the value of the dinar against the euro has declined as it is currently trading at TND3.351 against TND3.188 at the end of September 2022.
