Over 500 general surgeons from Tunisia and Arab and African countries are taking part in the First African Congress of General Surgery held in Tunis on October 12-14.
In his opening address, Health Minister Ali Mrabet commended the richness of the agenda. He also called for the creation of an African society of general surgery and emphasised the importance of African cooperation in different specialties and the exchange of expertise.
This first edition is held concurrently with the 44th Congress of the Tunisian Society of General Surgery.
