Police have launched a manhunt for suspects following a shooting incident at M1 highway

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that took place at M1 North, next to Jan Smuts off-ramp at about 12:50 today.
It is alleged that two people, a male and a female, were inside a BMW X1 when they were accosted by about 5 suspects who started shooting at them using pistols and rifles. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital in a serious condition.
The motive behind the shooting is unknown at this stage. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects who are said to be driving a grey BMW sedan with unknown registration.
