Second land invasion suspect appears in court

This morning, a 62-year-old suspect appeared at the Ntuzuma Magistrates Court on charges of fraud, malicious damage to property, trespassing and intimidation. The suspect handed himself over to investigators from the Provincial Task Team who are investigating illegal land invasions on farms in the Inanda area.
Muntu Robertson Shangase was detained at the Durban Central Police Station yesterday and appeared at the Ntuzuma Magistrates Court this morning on seven cases opened as a result of illegal activities in the Inanda area. He was released on a warning on condition that he does not interfere with the complainants in these cases. He is set to reappear in court on 22 January 2019.
