Three dagga dealers held in Kathu

NORTHERN CAPE – Three men accused of dealing in dagga, are set to make their next appearance before the Kathu Magistrate’s Court, next week Tuesday, 28 May on a charge of dealing.

The suspects were released on bail, after appearing briefly before Kathu Magistrate’s Court. Lungisani Mzinyane (27), Mthobisi Mamini (32) and Vuyani Bala (26) were respectively arrested at their homes during crime prevention operation over the weekend.

More than 1.73g of hydro dagga, 22 quarter mandrax tablets, 3 half mandrax tablets and undisclosed amount of cash was found in possession of the accused. Their arrest came after Deben police followed lead information, about the suspects’ drug activities on their premises in Deben.

The John Taolo Gaetsewe Cluster Commander, Major General Johan Bean commended members under his command, after the confiscation of dagga, which ultimately led to the arrest of the suspects.
