Tunisia will participate in “Expo 2023 Doha”, scheduled for October 2, 2023, under the theme “Green Desert, Better Environment”, with a special focus on agriculture and horticulture, the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA) announced on Tuesday. Tunisia’s participation is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries and will feature a large stand of around 900 square metres within a total exhibition area of 1.7 million square metres. The event, which culminates on March 28, 2024, will include international conferences, partnership meetings, workshops showcasing modern technologies and start-ups, and tastings of selected agricultural products. At the same time, it will host Tunisian-Qatari partnership days, a presentation of local products and other related activities. According to APIA, Tunisia’s participation aims to strengthen the partnership and cooperation between Tunisia and Qatar by showcasing Tunisia’s experience in water management policies and sustainable development, in addition to promoting start-ups at this global event. With the participation of 80 countries and NGOs, the exhibition is expected to attract more than 3 million visitors.
