On Thursday, 01 September 2022 at about 20:15 a 25-year-old cashier was on duty at a gas station at Virginia when three suspects, one of them had a handgun, approached the cashier. An undisclosed amount of cash was robbed at gun point. The suspects used a silver Mercedes Benz with registration number JD 15 GB GP as a get-away car. No shots were fired.

In another incident, on the 01 September 2022 at about 19:15 a 42-year-old petrol attendant was at work when three suspects robbed an undisclosed of cash and petrol using two handguns. They were driving a silver Mercedez Benz C Class with unknown registration numbers. The suspects drove off from the scene with the same vehicle.

Cases of Business Robberies are been investigated by the Provincial Organized Crime Unit.

The police stations of Hennenman and Virginia circulated the silver Mercedes Benz and two suspects both aged 41-years-old were arrested in Ventersdorp on Friday, 02 September 2022 with the same silver Mercedes Benz. These two suspects will appear on Monday, 05 September 2022 in the Virginia Magistrates’ Court.
