A workshop on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) will be held next October 19, the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIT announced on Sunday.
The event will be organised in partnership with the Tunisian customs and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). It seeks to shed light on requirements of granting preferential treatment as well as on disadvantages of this agreement” in addition to mastering the certification scheme of the preferential origin.
The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement entered into force in May 2019 and was ratified by Tunisia on August 7, 2020.
It is one of the African Union’s flagship projects which are designed to scale up South-South cooperation for a prosperous, peaceful and integrated Africa, in line with the 2030 Agenda.
