CHRIS HANI – Commercial Crime investigating Unit is investigating a number of fraud cases after unsuspected buyers were scammed while trying to buy livestock advertised on social media.<\/p>\n
According to the information from the complainants there was a fraudulent Facebook page advertising livestock using Langside Farm situated at Queenstown.<\/p>\n
Many communities even outside Chris Hani District responded to the scam and ended up being victims after depositing money.<\/p>\n
Police encourage community members to please verify information before making any deposit through social media.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
