GQEBERHA – As the country mark Women\u2019s Month celebration, the prevalence of Gender Based Violence in our communities are growing therefore as a collective we all need to rise to the occasion and end gender discrimination in all its ugly ways.<\/p>\n
The South African Police in Gqeberha are urging women to seek help before it\u2019s too late and to walk away from tumultuous relationships. This appeal comes after a 38-year-old male was fatally stabbed while embroiled in a physical altercation with his pregnant girlfriend.<\/p>\n
It is alleged that on Saturday, 7 August 2021 at a house in Sweden Street in Timothy Valley between 21:00-21:30, Loyiso Kulela (38) was arguing with his fianc\u00e9 (25) about food. The argument intensified into a physical one where Kulela sustained a fatal stab wound on his left shoulder and subsequently bled to death prior to receiving any medical attention. The fianc\u00e9 who is about four months pregnant was taken to hospital for medical attention.<\/p>\n
She is not arrested and a murder case is under investigation.<\/p>\n
Fighting GBV must always remain a priority and police appeal to communities to act, not look away and not to protect abusers instead to report them before there are any loss of life.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
