{"id":54351,"date":"2022-08-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-08-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dailysouthafrica.com\/?guid=bd688fd99eb0977198d75f300030de1a"},"modified":"2022-08-28T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-08-28T00:00:00","slug":"saps-kabega-park-investigate-two-culpable-homicide-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailysouthafrica.com\/saps-kabega-park-investigate-two-culpable-homicide-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"SAPS Kabega Park investigate two culpable homicide cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GQEBERHA &#8211; Two people were fatally killed in separate accidents last night, 27 August 2022 and during the early hours of this morning in the Kabega Park policing area.<\/p>\n<p>In the first accident, at about 19:40 on 27 August 2022, a male died when his Toyota Quantum minibus overturned on the Van Stadens Road towards Blue Horizon Bay.  The driver, Duwain Bergens was found lying dead next to the vehicle. It is unclear how many passengers were in the vehicle as they were taken to hospital prior to police arrival. Circumstances relating to the accident is unknown at this stage.<\/p>\n<p>A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Also at about 00:20 this morning, a 19-year-old teenager from Gelvandale died in an alleged head on collision at the corners of Cape and Brabant Roads in Kabega Park. It is alleged that a white Chevy Spark and a grey VW Polo was involved. All the injured persons were removed to hospital prior to police arrival. Details surrounding the accident are under investigation. The deceased was found in the passenger seat.
