POTCHEFSTROOM \u2013 Hemilton Radebe (46), Michael Kgwete (42) and Thabiso William Kgame (34) made a brief appearance before the Klerksdorp Magistrate\u2019s Court on Thursday, 22 December 2022, for possession of unlicensed firearms and suspected stolen property.<\/p>\n

The trio\u2019s court appearance stems from their apprehension on Tuesday, 20 December 2022, after police in Jouberton received a look-out about three suspects travelling in a white Volkswagen Polo, driving from Wolmaransstad in the direction of Klerksdorp. This after the suspects allegedly robbed a cell phone shop at gunpoint in Wolmaransstad on Tuesday, 20 December 2022. The suspects\u2019 vehicle was spotted near Jouberton and stopped. Three male occupants as well as the vehicle were searched and the police found two unlicensed firearms and recovered 57 stolen cell phones. All three suspects were immediately arrested.<\/p>\n

The trio was remanded in custody until their next appearance before the same court on Thursday, 29 December 2022, for a formal bail application. Investigation into the matter continues.<\/p>\n
