Grain harvest for the 2022-2023 season is expected to be down by over 30% compared with the previous season, with 126,000 quintals compared with 185,000 quintals for the 2021-2022 season, according to the estimates of the Ariana Local Authority for Agricultural Development (CRDA).<\/P>
According to CRDA figures, the 2022-2023 grain harvest is made up of 94130 quintals of durum wheat, 5800 quintals of soft wheat, 23640 quintals of barley and 2320 quintals of triticale.<\/P>
This drop is due to low rainfall in the period between September 2022 and May 2023.<\/P>
