Tunisian cinema will have a strong presence at the 17th edition of the Africa Cinema Festival in Lausanne (Switzerland), scheduled for August 17-20, 2023, with a selection of seven films, including shorts and features released between 1994 and 2022.<\/P>
The programme also includes a retrospective and an “exceptional” masterclass with producer Dora Bouchoucha, in collaboration with the Swiss Cinematheque.<\/P>
Five feature films from Tunisia will be screened: “Hedi, le vent de libert\u00e9,” a drama by Mohamed Ben Attia (2016), “C’\u00e9tait mieux demain” a documentary by Hinde Boujema (2012), “Les Silences du palais” a drama by Moufida Tlatli (1994), “Satin rouge” a drama by Raja Amari (2002) and a film shot in Tunisia, “SABRIYA” by Abderrahmane Sissako (1997).<\/P>
Two short films will also be screened: “Kendila” an animated short by Nadia Rais (2022) and “Keratin Day” a fiction by Sami Tlili (2022).<\/P>
The African Cinema Festival – Lausanne is an annual event, unique in Switzerland. It offers an original programming of films from the African continent. It strives to promote and disseminate African films, support African filmmakers and raise public awareness, while ensuring that it maintains its features of cultural and convivial entertainment.<\/P>
