\nTunis: The Industrial Property Agency (AFI) will publish its first carbon footprint report in May 2024, according to its CEO Kais Mejri.<\/p>\n
The aim of this report is to provide an overview of the Agency’s carbon consumption (travel, electricity consumption, fossil fuel consumption, etc.) in a bid to raise awareness among the staff of the need to rationalise fossil consumption, he told TAP on the fringes of the 4th edition of Aerospace Meetings Tunisia.”<\/p>\n
“Over the medium term, the goal is to prepare carbon footprints for a number of industrial zones,” he explained, adding that AFI is also working with ANME and STEG on projects to support companies in their decarbonisation plans.<\/p>\n
The aim is to offer industrialists and industrial developers areas dedicated to the production of electricity from renewable energy sources.<\/p>\n
Created on April 14, 1973, the AFI is a public institution under the authority of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy.<\/p>\n
Its goal is to reinforce the industrial fabric and contribute to Tun
\nisia’s economic and social development.<\/p>\n
One of AFI’s main tasks is to conduct studies on the identification, fitting out and equipment of industrial zones, traditional industrial zones and small trades.<\/p>\n
It equally creates and develops industrial zones with all the necessary facilities for the establishment of industrial projects.<\/p>\n
