The appeal chambers of the Administrative Court (AC) on Friday concluded examining and handing down rulings in thirteen cases brought as part of the first phase of litigation against the preliminary results of the 2023 run-off local elections. Six challenges were rejected on formal grounds and five others on substantive grounds, according to an AC press release. With regard to the other two challenges, it was decided to annul the decision of the Independent High Authority for the elections in the constituency of Menzel Chaker, delegation of Menzel Chaker (Sfax), as well as in the constituency of Serdyana, delegation of Sbikha (Kairouan). The Administrative Court has begun notifying the involved sides (the elections authorities and the candidates) of the rulings in order to move on to the phase of disputing the preliminary results of the run-off before the General Judicial Assembly, the press release added.
