Tunis: Tunisian champion Chaima Toumi bagged the gold medal after defeating on Monday Ivorian Mariama Cisse (2-0) in the final of the African Games Taekwondo Women's under 57kg. This is the 3rd gold medal for Tunisia in the taekwondo competition. With this new medal Tunisia's medal count has been brought to 62 (13 gold, 20 silver and 29 bronze), hence keeping its 5th place. Egypt are in the lead with 91 gold, 36 silver and 31 bronze, followed by Nigeria (27 gold, 21 silver and 30 bronze), South Africa (26 gold, 29 silver and 38 bronze) and Algeria (22 gold, 31 silver and 37 bronze).
