Ouagadougou: The Burkinabè Association for the Emergence of the Cultural Economy (ABEEC) on Thursday invited Burkinabè people to discover the tourist sites of Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso, from August 16 to 22 2024. 'A week of tourist discovery (SDT 2024)' planned from August 16 to 22, 2024, aims to discover, enhance and promote the tourist sites of Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso, declared the president of the Burkinabè Association for Emergence of the Economy of Culture (ABEEC), Dramane Kawolobou, Thursday during a press conference. According to Mr. Kawolobou, the incursion is focused on activities ranging from regrouping in Ouagadougou, to participation in the false departure ceremony of His Majesty the Moogho Naaba, to visits to tourist sites on the Ouaga-Bobo axis, without forgetting sites within these cities. The president of ABEEC specified that this week's excursion also aims to encourage, cultivate and stimulate the spirit of excellence in schools and universities. This is why he requested the s ponsorship of internally displaced students and students in difficult situations who have had good academic results, in order to allow them to flourish and cultivate themselves further. 'A week of tourist discovery (SDT 2024)' is part of the 'Project for the restoration, enhancement and promotion of endogenous socio-cultural values ??and the promotion of tourism for sustainable human development and the stability of Burkina Faso 2024- 2027.' It is placed under the theme: 'Burkina Faso facing its destiny: What prototype of Burkinabè citizen should be built on the foundation of moral, cultural and societal values ??in the short, medium and long term and the promotion of tourism for development sustainability and stability: Issues, challenges and perspectives'.
