TUNIS: The 5th Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance in Tunis, on Friday, decided to hold a hearing on March 12 to examine the case of the assassination of the martyr Chokri Belaïd. The court, on Friday, heard the defendant, Mohamed Amine Guesmi, and confronted him with the voice recordings contained in a CD attached to the case file. In the same context, the President of the Fifth Criminal Chamber stressed that the criminal status of the other defendant, Hamza Arfaoui, who is at liberty, would be reviewed before the scheduled hearing. His lawyer stated that he had been taken into custody by the Aouina Research and Investigation Brigade, without specifying the reasons. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
