Ben Arous: Twenty-three tourists sustained injuries Friday when a tour bus skidded at kilometre point 16 in the bypass road of Borj Cedria (southern entrance to the capital). The bus was heading from Sousse towards the Tunis Carthage Airport, Civil Protection Spokesperson Moez Triaa told TAP.

The tourists from different nationalities sustained injuries of varying degrees and were taken to the Ben Arous Trauma Centre and Charles Nicole Hospital in Tunis, the same source added.

Eight ambulances were mobilised by the Civil Protection and three more by health authorities.

Meanwhile, the traffic police initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident.
