Bizerte: Regional council officially set up

The official appointment ceremony of members of the regional council, selected by drawing lots (carried out on March 2), was held on Wednesday at the Bizerte governorate headquarters and was attended by Bizerte Governor Sami Abdellaoui. Members of the new Bizerte regional council, chaired by Mokhtar Jaafar, affirmed their full commitment to strengthen the various aspects of socio-economic development in Bizerte. Taking the floor, Bizerte Governor Sami Abdellaoui pointed to the importance of the electoral process approved by the President of the Republic, and the transparency with which its various stages were conducted, as well as the important role assigned to the regional councils in serving the public interest.
