Carthage Cement : turnover grows 18% in 2023


Carthage Cement closed the 2023 financial year with a turnover of TND 431 millions, posting an 18% rise on 2022, activity indicators released recently by the company show.

This is the result of an upward trend observed in the activities of cement and aggregate which helped the company consolidate its position as leader of the cement sector in Tunisia.

Actualluy, the turnover from cement and clinker grew 18%, driven by higher local market sales (+22%), to TND 339 million in 2023.

The company managed to maintain the same level of the export turnover as in 2022, that is TND 57 million in spite of a 34% drop in Q4 of 2023 as a result of disturbances in international markets.

Likewise, the turover from the aggregate edged up 27% in 2023 from TND 17.668 million to TND 22.411 million.

Meanwhile, the turnover from concrete declined 11% to TND 12.760 million against TND 14.346 million in 2022.

Carthage Cement reported a 9.4% drop in indebtedness on December 31, 2022, to TND 345 million.
