The hearing of defendants in Chokri Belaid assassination case will resume on February 13, said member of the defence group Imene Gzara.
“The hearings of defendants is expected to end on February 13 before lawyers begin presenting their arguments,” she added.
Eleven defendants had been heard until February 9 by the 5th Criminal Chamber of Tunis Court of First Instance.
Over 30 defendants, including some kept at liberty, are charged with premeditated murder, incitement to commit terrorist crimes and membership of groups with ties to a terrorist organisation.
The hearings kicked off last February 6 – the anniversary of the death of the left-wing leader and activist who was shot dead outside his appartment in Tunis.
