“CRÉATHON,” 1st action of TACIR-Kef to support ideas and contents in creative and cultural industries

Launched by the NGO AMAVI of multimedia and audiovisual as part of the TACIR-Le Kef programme, the first CREATHON#1 “Né Well Kef” (Le Kef and Me) is a competition targeting people from the Kef region (students, young inactive graduates, young talents in Kef, etc.), who are interested in the field of creative and cultural industries (CCI).

This first edition will be held on May 26-28 at the CIRTA-Le Kef Cultural Centre, partner of the TACIR programme, supported by the Swiss Embassy to Tunisia. A call for ideas has just been launched.

Within the framework of its key components TACIR-Innov and TACIR-Créa, the TACIR programme (Talents-Arts-Creativity-Inclusion-Research), led by AMAVI, is launching the first edition of its CREATHON in the Kef where candidates will have the opportunity to define and refine their project ideas.

The TACIR programme was born from a strong conviction that CCIs are a lever for social inclusion, at the heart of regional development.

The project aims to bring together cultural operators from the associative or professional fabric in the western regions and young people from different creative backgrounds and in vulnerable situations aged between 22 and 35, in order to propel new creative ideas and diversify the local cultural offer.

The project will be implemented over three years (2023-2024-2025) and will cover the regions of Manouba, Kef and Kasserine.

The TACIR project activities consist in five key components, namely TACIR-Créa supports the development of innovative creative digital content ideas, TACIR-Training helps build the skills of beneficiaries in the image and cultural management professions, TACIR-Innov promotes the entrepreneurial culture through incubation programmes, TACIR-Diffusion creates community screening spaces to help reduce inequalities in access to image education and TACIR-Research proposes conducting research for a better understanding of the processes of creation, innovation and sociological and socio-economic development in CCI.
