The 38th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair will be held at the Kram Exhibition Centre from April 19 to 28, 2024, on the date originally scheduled for this cultural event. This was announced in a press release issued by the Ministry of Culture on Tuesday evening, following a statement to the media by Walid Hajjam, advisor to the President of the Republic, in which he announced that the International Book Fair will be held as planned on its original date, from April 19 to 28, 2024, at the Kram Exhibition Centre. The advisor to the President of the Republic said this decision was taken on the instructions of President Kais Saied, in view of "the symbolic dimension of this cultural event and the historical role of this major event in the promotion of cultural life in Tunisia". In a short press release published on Saturday, February 10, the National Establishment for for the Promotion of Festivals and Artistic and Cultural Events announced that the 38th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair c ould not be held at the Kram Exhibition Centre, but did not specify the reasons for this decision.
