Eight stolen goats recovered in Ladysmith

DURBAN – It is alleged by the complainant that on Saturday, 15 May 2021 at Nhlawe area in Weenen, thirteen goats, were released to a grazing fields.

Other goats returned and she noticed that thirteen other goats were missing. She looked everywhere to search for her missing goats but they were nowhere to be found. A case of stock theft was opened at Weenen SAPS for investigation.

On 16 May 2021,information was received by Ladysmith Crime Intelligence regarding the stolen goats. The information was followed up by Ladysmith SAPS to KwaManzini area in Ladysmith. Upon arrival at a homestead, eight goats were found kept inside the kraal. The recovered goats were positively identified by the lawful owner. The total value of the recovered stock is R16000-00.
