The Ekulo Senior Secondary School in the Oshikoto Region gave their teacher , Ndinelago Emosho a raucous welcome as she got to school on Tuesday , after winning the Miss Tourism Africa 2024 crown in Nigeria on 01 October . Ekulo principal David Mushaandja said during the homecoming remarks of Emosho held at the school Tuesday morning , that it is an achievement to them as a school and the region at large . Mushaandja said that Business Studies and Economics teacher Emosho is one of the best teachers in the region , and her performance was at 68 per cent in last year ' s Grade 12 Economics result . ' This simply means that anyone can achieve what they want in life as long as they work hard towards it ,' Mushaandja said . The 27 - year - old Emosho who is a Grade 8 to 12 teacher said that the award involves promoting African cultures and heritage . ' I am excited and honoured to win but it is still sinking in ,' she said . Emosho emphasised that she is really humbled to win and represent the country . ' We are all given different passions by God for a reason and all we need to do is put in work and take action ,' she said . Grade 12 learner Roini Hamutenya described Emosho as a kind teacher who is real , adding she inspires them to go for what they want in life . ' Firstly , Ms Emosho has positively influenced many of us in the school to stay anchored in our passion and dreams and trust God ' s timing ,' said Hamutenya . Source: The Namibia News Agency
