El Kef: Large amounts of hail fell on several areas in the governorate of El Kef on Tuesday evening, causing damage to cereal crops and fruit trees, a number of farmers told TAP's local reporter. They stressed that the extent of the damage is significant in the areas where hail fell, especially on cereal farms and several areas of fruit trees, including olive trees, which were in flower at the time. Farmers in the region are hoping that technical committees will be formed as soon as possible to inspect the damage and assess the extent of the losses suffered by the agricultural sector, which was largely affected by the drought that hit the country during the month of April.
