MEDENINE: The ferry service from the island of Djerba to El Jorf was suspended on Wednesday due to strong winds, announced regional deputy director of equipment in Medenine Farhat Laarayedh. Ferry traffic was reduced to a single shuttle to transport pupils from the Ajim-Djerba high school to El Jorf, as well as vehicles waiting to return to Ajim on the same ferry. The process of entering and leaving the island of Djerba will be restricted to the use of the Roman road joining Djerba and Zarzis, he explained, adding that ferry traffic will be resumed once the weather conditions improve.
