Fifteen people were injured in a head - on collision at Okapuku village in the Oshikoto Region on Saturday . According to the the Namibian Police Force ' s ( NamPol ) crime investigations coordinator for the region , Deputy Commissioner Titus Ekandjo , the accident occurred around 00h30 at the village situated some 14 kilometres from Omuthiya . No fatalities were reported , but the occupants of the minibus , truck and pick - up involved in the accident were seriously injured and were taken to the Onandjokwe and Omuthiya District Hospitals . It is alleged that a double cab with Oshakati registration sideswiped a truck with Walvis Bay registration . The minibus , which was travelling in the same direction as the truck , then allegedly collided head - on with the pick - up . ' Both the truck and minibus were travelling from the direction of Omuthiya , while the pick - up was travelling from Ondangwa ' s direction ,' he added . Ekandjo further reported that all vehicles sustained serious damage , but no fataliti es were reported . Police investigations continue . Source: The Namibia News Agency
