FM discusses with his Syrian counterpart ways to provide necessary support to Palestinian people

As part of Tunisia’s efforts to put an end to the ongoing blatant aggression against the Gaza Strip, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, held a telephone conversation on Sunday with his Syrian counterpart, Faisal Meqdad.

The foreign ministers of the two countries confirmed their continued efforts and urgent actions to provide the necessary support to the Palestinian people and to immediately stop the brutal aggression against them, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two ministers praised the unprecedented steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of the systematic killing machine that is claiming the lives of innocent children, the elderly, women, civilians and medical teams, destroying infrastructure and seeking to eliminate all components of the life of the Palestinian people.

They also stressed the absolute rejection of all scenarios of displacement of the resisting people of Palestine who are stationed on their land and defending their rights as stipulated in all divine laws and international and humanitarian laws and conventions.

This call reflected a consensus of views on the priority of this stage regarding the defence and protection of the Palestinian people and the immediate cessation of the occupier’s aggression.
