Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar, Monday, had a meeting with Jean-Claude Gakosso, Minister of Foreign Affairs, of the Francophonie and Congolese abroad, of the Republic of Congo. The meeting provided an opportunity "to review the long-standing and distinguished relations" between both countries. Both FMs highlighted the importance of "holding the next Tunisian-Congolese Joint Commission as soon as possible." The meeting further helped discuss the findings of the Summit of the African Union High-Level Committee on Libya, held February 5 in Brazzaville, reads a Foreign Ministry press release. On this occasion, Ammar commended the REpublic of Congo's mediation efforts with the various Libyan stakeholders as part of the preparations for the National Reconciliation Conference, due next April in Sirte, Libya. Preparations for the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union and the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Gover nment of the African Union, were also disccused during this meeting.
