The Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (French: FTDES) urged a humanitarian response to the situation of refugees in Tunisia. It is imperative to guarantee the rights of migrants and ensure their dignity is preserved, the forum said. The FTDES expressed concern over the situation of refugees in Tunisia and said it had heard several testimonies of refugees expelled at the Algerian and Libyan borders during this cold weather; this in addition to arbitrary arrests of migrants in Sfax. Interior Minister Kamel Féki told TAP last August reports of arbitrary expulsions of migrants are groundless. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
