Johannesburg: With just days to go to the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola, is set to brief the media on the country’s state of readiness to host the historic summit.
According to South African Government News Agency, the G20 Leaders’ Summit is scheduled for 22-23 November 2025 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec. This event will mark the culmination of South Africa’s presidency of the G20, after succeeding Brazil in this role. The department released an advisory on Friday confirming the upcoming briefing.
The media briefing by Minister Lamola is slated to occur at the G20 Media Centre, located in Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec, Hall 5. The briefing is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am on Monday.
On Friday, President Cyril Ramaphosa affirmed that the G20 Leaders’ Summit will proceed as planned, despite the absence of representation from the United States government. The President addressed the media during the CEO-City Cleanup Partnership Programme in Kliptown, Johannesburg.
