Two candidates from the El Ksar constituency in the El Hamma delegation (governorate of Gabès) are standing for the run-off local elections. They are Said Saidi and Manel Abbès, who obtained 267 and 233 votes, respectively, in the first round. In their election campaigns, the two candidates are focusing on unemployment, infrastructure, agriculture and health. Said Saidi promised to regularise the employment situation of refuse collectors and to create leisure facilities for the region's residents. Manel Abbès, for her part, pledged to step up aid to the needy, promote development, stimulate investment, increase water resources, solve the waste problem and set up a slaughterhouse and craft village in the region.
